For Guerlain's new fragrance « Idylle », Axilone has produced a pure drop of gold, in perfect harmony with the sensual curves of the perfume’s bottle. The way the colour of the stopper matches that of the bottle, is the result of considerable technical expertise.
The stopper is made from a metallised plastic and comes in 2 sizes (for 30ml and 50/100ml bottles). It comprises several, individually produced pieces : an insert in black PP, an extra element to provide weight and an air of solidity, a galvanised golden collar and a cap, vacuum metallized in gold. The pieces are put together in a single, mechanical operation, saving a considerable amount of time.
The design and development process was very short : Axilone only needed 4 months to finalise the product and put together the assembly machine.
Optimising logistics management : the finished pieces are placed on special thermoformed trays, which are then palletised. Once the stoppers are delivered to Guerlain, the trays are returned to Axilone and used for the next delivery.
